I am seeking information on my great-uncle who emigrated to Canada in 1911 as part of the child emigration scheme from the Isle of Man/UK.
He enlisted in the Canadian Contingent of 1915 and returned to London, Ontario where he married Louisa (surname unknown). I have a letter stating he died in 1971 and is buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London, Ontario but I do not know if he and Louisa had any children.
Edward was one of four children and the only descendants known are through his sister's line, my grandmother, Emily May Cowley. There is now a very large family on the Isle of Man (about 70 known relatives!) so if you have any information please contact me. Thanks.
