Cowles Genealogy Book Question

I am trying to help my mother-in-law whose maiden name is Cowles answer a question about the books written by Calvin Duvall Cowles.

My mother-in-law actually has Genealogy of The Cowles Families in America Volume II compiled by Colonel Calvin Duvall Cowles dated 1929 hard covered, and the first page number after the title page is 753.

We are very interested in obtaining Volume I. When I search on the internet I am a bit confused by what I find. I have found some sites that show the title then followed by "2 vols" dated 1929 with 1510 pages.

Her Volume II book starts with Wilbur Fiske Cowles born February 18, 1835 and as I mentioned the books starts on page 753 and ends on page 1502. My guess is Volume I starts with John Cowles born in 1598 and starts with page 1 and goes to page 752. The volume 2 book she has is hard bound and quite old.

My question - has anyone gone and printed on the Higginson Book Co. or any other site the The Geneaology of the Cowles Family History in America 2 vols pages 1510 and is it the full Cowles family starting with John Cowles born in 1598 and ending with Alice Williams Cowles on page 1254 with index 1255 going to 1502 (or as some web sites indicate 1510). I hate for my mother-in-law to purchase this book from the web sites we have found only to find out it is what she already has. The communication with the publisher thus far is that only Vol II is available to print but I am not sure that information is correct. I would love to hear from anyone who has printed this book. Thank You.
