Hi Dean,
I am in Shepherdsville, KY. 30 miles south of Louisville. i have lived here for 4 yrs. I was raised in Louisville. That is where my family lives. My great grpa Bishop Marvin, went by Marvin, was a blacksmith for the L&N railroad. He moved from Edmondson Co to Louisville.
I was in th 7th grade when he died. I remember him as a soft spoken, very sweet man. He had a huge garden and I helped pick tomatoes and okre (itch, itch). He was a brittle diabetic, he died post op his 2nd leg amputation.
My grma Lois, looked much like him, she too was very sweet.I was her 1st grdtr, we were close.
