COWLES IN THE USA: There are approx 6000 Cowles adults living in the US today. If you desire some assistance in tracing your genealogy, we can help. Colonel Calvin Cowles (US Army Retired) dedicated his remaining years to researching all the Cowles living in the era of 1890 to 1925. He published "The Cowles Family History" in 1929, and maintained a family association nation-wide until he died. No one continued that effort.
If you have good details of your grand-parents or great grand-parents in the era of 1900 to 1925, we can likely trace your ancestry back to New Haven CT and to England in 1610-1620. We have some data for Cowles in Virginia, KY, and IN, who arrived from England seperately in 1610 or so.
We will post an example of the data we have in a seperate posting in a few days.
