I am a decendant of John Cowles b.1598 and Hannah (Hart) Varnum. I have 7 children listed for them: Samuel b. 1639 - John, Jr. b. 1641 - Hannah b. 1644 - Sarah b. 1646 - Esther b. 1649 - Mary b. 1654 and Elizabeth b. 1656. I also have a coppy of a Family Tree dated 1853 by a Capt. Calvin Cowles. Probably a copy of yours. Try going to www.familysearch.org but be sure and recheck dates. I found some mistakes and multiple listings. This is a site of LDS (Latter Day Saints) and they have quite a bit of information. Good Luck, Joan
