This is a response to your questions about Cowles familiy. Looks like most of the questions are about John Cowles. I am descended from this person (also Cole). There is a two volume genealogy on John Cowles in New England Historic Genealogical library in Boston. Title is GENEALOGY OF THE COWLES FAMILIES IN AMERICA by Colonel Calvin Divall Cowles 1929 CS 71 c875. I have photcopies of parts of this book and have my Cowles/Cole descendants in my database. I will be glad to share the information with anyone.
