Have Cowles from this area.

Example: Joseph Cowles b. 15 Sep 1715 Farmington, Conn d. 20 Apr 1806 Canaan, Conn. Married 10 Nov 1743 to Ruth Woodruff.

They were the parents of at least Timothy who was b. 22 Apr Canaan, Conn d. 13 Apr 1831 Smithville, NY.
