Johnson Cowles CT/PA

I am searching for information on Johnson Cowles, born circa 1800 in CT. He may have had two wives – Rachel, born circa 1804 and Pluma, born circa 1811. Johnson and his wife Pluma were living in Orwell Township, Bradford County, PA in 1850. The had at least four children J. Addison, born circa 1833; Rachel Ann, born circa 1834; George U., born circa 1836; and Edwin S., born circa 1840. Pluma was born in VT and all of the children were born in Pennsylvania. I am especially interested in information on Rachel Ann Cowles. Specifically, did she marry a Van Marter at an early age (15/16). Did she have a daughter, Rachel Ann, born circa 1850.

Johnson Cowles was the son of John Cowles, born circa 1772 in CT. His wife was Abigail (?). She died on September 13, 1810 at age 29. John and Abigail are buried in the Darling Cemetery, Orwell Township, Bradford County, PA.

Johnson Cowles had at least two brothers – Charles and William. These brothers also lived in or around Orwell Township.

Any information on the above families would be greatly appreciated.
