Have quite a bit of COWLES info to share, and hoping for more to fill in the blanks.
The first wife of my great grandfather WESLEY WARNER was MARY AURELIA COWLES, b. 18 May 1840 Smithville, NY d. 4 Aug 1864 Smithville.
Her father was CARLOS BELA COWLES, b. 25 Jan 1813 d. Oct 20 1902, Greene, Chenango Co., NY. Her mother was Lois Hubbard.
Her grandparents were BELA COWLES, b. 30 May 1773, Canaan, Conn. d. 27 Dec 1861 Greene, Chenango Co., NY, and AURELIA THRALL, b. 1779, d. 27 Jan 1829 Smithville, NY.
Bela's parents were: Timothy Cowles, b. 22 Apr 1746 Canaan Conn, d. 13 Mar 1831 Smithville, NY and Anna Hatch b. 1755, d. 3 Jan 1845.
Bela's granparents were: Joseph Cowles, b. 15 Sep 1715 Farmington, Conn d. 20 Apr 1806 Canaan, Conn. He was married on 10 Nov 1743 to Ruth Woodruff.
