The information I have received from relatives states I too am descended from John Cowles. John,Samuel,Samuel Jr.

My info has Samuel,Jr. marrying Rachael Porter and they had a daughter Rachael Cowles in 1690 in Connecticut.

My info stated John's wife was Mehitabel Hart. Is it possible John was married more than once or had more than one wife?
