My Great, Great Grandfather, George Cowles, was born on Feb 7, 1812 in Modbury, Devon, England. He immigrated to Newfoundland, Canada in the 1840's as a fishing servent. I am looking for information on his relatives in Modbury at that time. I have found a William Cowles in Modbury in the 1840's but I do not know if this was a relative.
