Dr. Dwight Cowles was my grandfather's (Francis Cowles) brother. He and his first wife Bertha had one child named Barbara Ann. According to our family bible, Barbara Ann died at the age of four months in 1923. Also cited in our bible is that Bertha died on September 3, 1922 in Cambridge, Mass. at the age of 29 years 7 months. Barbara Ann is buried in the family plot in the North Beverly Cemetary.
