My GGF Henry R. Cowles, son of Norris, was born 3 March, 1853, at Westfield, MA. I can find no record of the place or date of his death. Story has it he "disappeared out west". He and his wife Julia Dougherty had 3 children, Eugene H., Lucretia(or Lula), and my grandfather, Harry A. Any tips or leads in solving this mystery would be greatly appreciated.
