Thanks for providing COWEY as a forum separate from the COWIE spelling! I have not yet traced my family back to England, but I'm hoping this new forum will aid my attempt to do so. My line is:

G-G-G-Grandfather CHARLES WILLIAM COWEY, b. abt 1750 - don't know where.
Spouse Susannah - b. in England, no date.
G-G-Grandfather - CHARLES WILLIAM COWEY, b. 2/28/1777 in VA - d. 11/19/1841 in NC.
Spouse Mary L. Sherrod - b. abt 1805 in NC - d. 1850 in NC.
G-Grandfather - CHARLES WILLIAM COWEY, b. 9/18/1836 in NC - d. 1/25/1908 in TX.
Spouse Hester Ann Rodgers Adams - b. 6/8/1840 in IL - d. 1/26/1929 in TX.
Grandfather JOSEPH THOMAS COWEY - b. 6/11/1878 in TX - d. 3/23/1971 in TX.
Father SAMUEL THOMAS COWEY - b. 9/20/1922 in TX - d. 6/27/1998 in TX.
Spouse Viola Martha Cook - b. 5/7/1921 in OK - still living.
