Hello everyone, my name's Graeme Atkinson and I'm desperately seeking any information on an Alexander Cowens from Sunderland, England and preferably information regarding his military service. Here is what I have to go on - Married Elizabeth Cummins in Monkwearmouth, Sunderland in June 1799.Served with 42nd Foot between 1799 and 1814. This regiment saw service in Canada during the revolutionary wars and also during the peninsular war but I am unsure of Alexanders' involvement. Any help would be brilliant. Thanks... Graeme
