I have TWO Robert Cowdens in my family, Robert ALLEN COWDEN, who md. Elizabeth O(h)linger in Buffalo, Dallas County, MO, and I believe his father Robert Cowden who md. Mary Barlow. I have found the 2nd Robert Cowden in the 1860 Census of Buffalo, Dallas Co., MO, however, Robert Allen is not specifically listed in this census, and Robert Allen was born the 16th of July 1855. He should be listed as being 4-5 years old. So, I'm wondering if I have the right information. I have figured this part out. There HAS to be as many Robert Cowden's as there are John Smith's out there. The parents of Robert Allen Cowden have been a thorn in my side for neary 20 years, and caused me to lay genealogy down for about 8 years. I'm at a loss, hopefully someone can help me out.
