my grandmother recently gave me a giant notebook filled with pieces of paper my great grandmother minnie cowart had written about her family tree from births to deaths, and how everyone was related to one another. I also recieved a ton of pictures of our family. One picture imparticular was taken April 20, 1905 and written on the back are the names of the subjects in the picture itself. standing infront of an old house is a picture of Mr. S.D. Cowart, his mother Mrs. Olive Dora Cowart, Mrs. Carline or Lurline Woffard? (handwritings is kind of hard to make out) Mr. Will Woffard, and Mr. Ed Woffard. In my great grandmother minnie cowart's notebook filled with her notes on the family is peice of paper typed out on S.D. Cowarts death and how he fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy. She also has noted that S.D. Cowarts mother Olive Died Sept. 22, 1907, she had her first stroke when she was 96 years old, an choked eating her dinner when she died. S.D. Cowarts full name was Stephen Decatur Cowart.
