My husband and I have been searching for his ancestors. The farthest back we have is Jonathan Cowart, gr-gr-grandfather. He was born in Tn. in 1822, married Frances Womack on Dec. 24, 1846. They had 10 children, Thomas. O., William O., Tennessee A., Martha Jane, Mary Frances, Thomas O., Sarah E., Robert S., Charles L. (our ancestor) and John H. The children were all born in Tesas as the couple moved by covered wagon to Bonham Tx. shortly after their marriage. Charles L. had one son, Charles R., Charles R. had 3 children, Charles E., Rebecca (died at age 8 or 9) and Chyrel. Any other information would be greatly appreciated. We are glad to share any info we have. Thanks.
