I have Joseph Thomas Cowart m. to Amanda Smith
according to my records they had two children
Luther & Vera. This Joseph was the son of Lewis
Grandbury Cowart b. 19 Oct 1847 in Ga. His parents
were Nathaniel Cowart and Mary Washburn Cowart.
Nathaniel is the s/o Lewis Cowart b. in Charlston
S.C. and Nancy Carmichael b. in Scotland. Nancy is
buried in Sumter Co., Ga. I have more information
on this family if it will help you.
