My grandfather's grandmother was named Sarah Jane Cowart and was from Franklin County, Mississippi. I think she was married to Zacharias Monroe Cowart. He was a civil war soldier in Co. A of the Mississippi Volunteers and was captured at Missionary Ridge in Tenn. and held prison of war at Rock Island where he sustained serious frostbite injuries and was released after the war. If you know anything about this, please help me.
