Looking for info on a John Coward who married Sarah E. Bailey (of Marion County, SC). Sarah was probably born in the 1850's, daughter of Gadi and Zilpha (Parker) Bailey. A letter to her brother dated March 1884, shows she was living in Monks Courner, SC. Suspect John was also originally from the old Marion County area of Cowards (all of this area later was included in the making of Florence County). The letter indicates the John is very ill and he may have died later that same year.
