Hi Keith, I saw your message on the net re: James Coward of Haywood County, North Carolina. I am the great, great, granddaughter of Edward (Ned) Coward, b. about 1842, North Carolina. I believe his father to be Elihu Coward II who married Sarah Jane Chastain. I also believe from information given me by my grandmother, that Edward (Ned)married a Frances Powell. Do you have any information that would confirm any of the above? Hope to hear from you soon.
