James was a Boot and shoemaker. William followed in his father's trade.I remember the shop in Carisbrooke the fascia stated 'William Coward & sons Estab 1832James father was also James b.C 1774, Mere m. Miriam Shepherd 12 May 1775 Motcombe.I have an enquiry in with the IOW record office as to whether there is data on whether the Sarah/Noel emigration was an "assisted passage' Also what data exists to connact the Motcombe/Semley/IOW areas.
