Hi Gary,

I don’t know if I am related to Francis Cowan. A Family Finder 4th cousin match contacted me recently to suggest that a relationship may exist. The match’s pedigree contains a PATTY line. Francis’ wife, Mary, is a sister of the most distant known PATTY ancestor (MDKA). After looking at the match’s pedigree and looking at the spaces on my pedigree, I considered it is plausible that one of the MDKA’s grandparents could be a Cowan who lived & died in the north of Ireland.

Y-DNA - I have been tested to 67 markers. I will send you my kit number by email.
