To add to the previous posting, I am looking for a connection to Clemuel Cowan who married Sarah Kisner in Sept. 1879. They had a child Minerva who died young. I need to know if there is a connection to William Henry Cowan born 1-11-1887 OR 1-1-1889. I have both of these birth dates for him, one on each of his draft cards WWI and WWII. We were all told his year was 1889 and that is what is on his headstone in AR.
William Henry Cowan is my grandfather and we previously thought his father's name was Climal. Clemuel is as close as we can get. Several things about this Clemuel are what my mom told me about her grandfather Climal: wife Sarah, born in McMinn Co., TN in the 1850's to 1860's.
William Henry Cowan also stated on his WWI draft card that he was from Crocker(t) MO (I think in Pulaski Co., MO) and the birthplace on the WWII card shows Pulaski Co, AR.
PLease send information if you have it. We've been looking for this connection since the mid 1950's.
