I've recently discovered that the CLIMAL COWAN I was looking for was CLEMUEL COWAN B. 1853 MCMINN CO., TN. Clemuel Cowan's grandparenTS are ROBERT COWAN born about 1765 in Rockbridge Co., Virginia and married to JEAN MCSPADDEN.
Would anyone who has additional information to share with me, please do so? We've been trying to find this link since the mid-1950's. My head hurts from all of the brick walls I've hit. : )
