Are you saying that the Robert Cowan that is buried in Holston County Tn. is not related to the Cowan's of Bristol? How did you obtain DNA for this testing and when. My brothers and I have been doing some research and have concluded that they are directly related. Robert married a Delany whose father was the Gen. that served in the Revolutionary war and is buried there also, and can trace a direct line to M.R.Cowan in Bristol. We were just there and saw the actual grave markers.
