Cowan, Cowans in Oklahoma

I'm researching into the COWANS geneology and viewed in Geneology.com that some folks had posted something having to do with COWAN and the Comanche Cemetery. My thoughts are that some of you may have some information I am looking for concerning the COWAN or COWANS ancestry possibly in the Comanche area. I am not sure if COWANS is Creek or Comanche, as I've been told both are correct, but thought you might know.

My husband was the great-grandson of Hugh or Houston COWANS, possibly born in 1854+/- in Tulsa Co, OK. His wife's name was Rose or Rosa or Rosy Perryman, who is listed as Creek. I'm wondering if any of you have run across those names in your research. Hugh/Houston's children's names were: Thompson, Susan, Thomas, Vinita, Austin Charles, and Katie.

Thank you in advance for any information any of you could offer!
