Hello Karen,
My great-great grandparents were Isaac Covey and Martha Porter. I've been looking into the Covey line for quite some time.
Mary (whose parents were Joe and Eliza Allen) and Byron lived in Broken Arrow, OK, in 1899, their post office address being Red Fork. I have copies of enrollment papers showing that Mary and two of the children were admitted to the Creek roll by the Dawes Commission. Marcus William was admitted as William Covey, age 8 years, and John O. was admitted as John W. Covey, age 12. Byron Jr/Byran is listed as being 8 months old at the time. Other than a copy of Mary's testimony with the Muskogee Land Office in 1899, I have little other information. Anything you might be able to provide would be appreciated so much. I've been searching for Byron's parents for a very long time and so far without any luck. Thank you again.
Sherrill Johnson
