I am a descendant of Kingsbury Covey I (1775-1840) who moved from Auburn, NY to Washington Co., OH. According to Quist, Kingsbury is a brother of Samuel Covey (1761-1840). If Mary Lanphere Covey was the mother of Kingsbury Covey I, she would have been 54 at the time of his birth. My father (Homer Covey, 1902-1983) always said that Kingsbury's mother was a Miss Kingsbury but I have never found any evidence of that. Is there a possibility that James Covey III may have married a second time?
