Age 30
The wife of Cap/Capt. Hays, the well-known taxi line-bus line operator, died late this afternoon (19 DEC 1924) after a long illness from lung trouble at the Hays residence on S. Walnut St. in Bloomington.
Mrs. Hays was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Covey of near Hobbyville, who survive.
Other survivors besides the husband include: one daughter, Evelyn; two (?) sisters, Mrs. Thos. Jackson and Mrs. Bertha Pate of Bedford, and Miss Illee, at home.
Funeral on Sun., Dec. 21, at Clear Creek in charge of Rev. Perlee of Pekin, IN.
Burial at Clear Creek Cemetery.
