I am interested in finding any information on the (probably) accidental deaths and subsequent interment locations of Daniel & Mary, who lived in West Des Moines Twnshp., Mahaska county, Iowa prior to their deaths, and left minor children Lydia & John. Daniels Jr's father, Daniel Sr., acted as executor to the estate, filing claims & statements in 1850. History of the Covey family in that period centers on the small Des Moines River settlement of Rochester, Iowa, an early river travel hub about five miles down from the port of Bellefountain, Iowa.
