This has been a topic of discussion for everyone. My family of Covey's pronounce Covey like a covey of quail, but there are a few Covey's here in Wisconsin ,which are didtant relatives that pronounce it with the kouve sound so both pronounciations seem to be in the family. There is a cousin living in the outskirts ofMadison who will not even look at you if you call her a Covey and not a Kouve.
