I have written down information while researching my Cole Family. There was a warrent on Joseph and Samuel Covey, this could be Floyd Co. or Montgomery, both bordering each other. John Cole Complained of Joseph and Samue lCovey and one Gilbert Bates in custody on the 25th day of Dec. 1802. With force and anger they broke in and injured the afore said with force and anger. John sued fo $ 500.00. Put in great fear the wife and children. --then in 1803--warrent for Joseph Covey in Jan. 1803 to go to jail. Anyone know what this was all about?
