I am seeking information on Mary A. "Polly" Covey born about 1808 or 1809 perhaps in Jefferson Co., TN. I don't know the name of Mary's father but her mother was Martha born between 1780 and 1790. Mary's father died before 1820 either in Arkansas or Tennesee. After the death of her father, Mary's mother married John Rice and moved to Hempstead Co., AR. Mary A. Covey is listed in the will of John Rice proved in Hempstead Co., AR in 1826. Martha (widow of Covey) settled the estate of a Reuben Ballinger/Bollinger/Berringer later that same year in Hempstead Co., AR who may have been some kin to Mary A. Covey. Mary A. Covey married Abner Cox about 1825 in Hempstead Co., AR. I am at a dead end with this line. If anyone out there can help me find my Covey ancestors I would appeciate it.
