There were a number of Coveys around Willet in the mid 1800s. My gggrandfather was Ira J. Covey, b.Willet in 1844. He had an Uncle Joseph living in Willet before his death in 1839. This Joseph was born in Stonington, CT, and was a Rev War Vet. Joseph's wife was Amy Wightman. There is a Covey family research site at www.geocities.com/
