Hi Wes,
I am Mac Covey's wife, aka Bryan McKinley Covey, in
Locust Grove, OK. I have been working on John Thomas Covey's line going forward for the last couple of years.
I do have quite a bit of info that I have gathered from
census records, obits, conversations,cemetery tromps, etc.
I recently discovered that John Thomas' wife Sarah
was a Richardson, daughter of Mathias and Tabitha Richardson. I am currently corresponding with that family
getting information. We had thought for years that her
maiden name was Mitchell and never could quite put that
together with a family in that area. It turns out it was
her sister who married a Mitchell. Sarah Richardson had a
brother and uncle named Isham, so now we know where that
name originated.
I would be happy to share any info you would care to
see.
Are you still living up north? We are planning a trip
that direction next month. Would enjoy meeting you.
