I am wondering if this might be relevant to you. My G4gmother was a Hannah Covey. She married Albert Carley in 1777 in Dutchess County. She had a brother Joseph who was born in 1748 in Wilton, CT. Joseph and Albert were both in the Dutchess Co. Militia.
