Adam Cover and Elizabeth Eversole were my G-G-G-G-G grandparents. According to "History of Ottawa County," Adam and Elizabeth came from Fayette County, PA, and settled in Perry County, OH. Their son Adam married Elizabeth Shoop, and they eventually moved to Carroll Twp, Ottawa County, Ohio. Their daughter Margaret married Jeptha Ogden. Margaret and Jeptha had a daughter Rachel Elizabeth who married Charles Humphrey. "Lib" and Charles had a daughter Mary who married Milton Apling. Milton and Mary's daughter Wilma was my father's mother.

"The History of Ottawa County, Ohio, and It's Families" outlines other family members, in particular the families of Adam C. and Elizabeth Shoop. The article was submitted by a Patricia Daly Ogburn who must be one of our cousins. I don't know her. You'll find the article under Cover/Meeker. I just now looked again in the book and there is a big article under "F.B. Whipple" family. I'll have to look at it more closely because I see all kinds of names I'm related to, the Lindsleys and the Humphreys in particular. I see a Myra Ellithorpe also. That would be on my mother's side.

Your last name is Whipple. I went to school in Danbury, Ohio, with a Don Whipple. He would be about 47 now. Any relation?
