David's first wife is unknown to me. I have his second wife as Elizabeth Hindle. I have their marriage year as 1823 and 1833. I can't find my source at this time and don't know which year is correct.

The History of Fayette County, Ohio - 1984, pages 248 and 249 tells of the family of Roger Toothaker. Mr. Toothaker was a resident of Marion Township. He had one dauhter named Caroline who was the wife of Samuel Coover (guessed to be son of David). Another daughter, Elizabeth, was married to David Jewett. Between 1850 and 1854 David Jewett and his second wife, Mary, an the family moved to Decatur County, Iowa.
