I am looking for information on my great grandmother, Elisabeth Couturier,born in Alsace apparently when it was part of Germany,1851. She married a brewer, Jacob Alois Hornung, from Heimsheim and then Stuttgart,Germany before coming to Philadelphia in 1879. She and her husband started a brewery in Stuttgart and after a few years came to the US and formed the Jacob Hornung Tioga Brewing Co.in Philadelphia,PA. After his death, Elisabeth ran the brewery until her death in 1940. Please help if you have any information about Couturiers from Alsace. Elisabeth had a cousin, Emma, who lived in California. Thank you.
