Hi Edith,
The names you mentioned do not sound familiar at this time,,,still looking though. 12th Century Couture was a tailor or seamstress the spellings seem to derrive from there. They include Coture/Couture/Courtinay/courtenay in france.....in Quebec Canada 1578 Courtier/Courtinay/Catillier/Cotillier/Coutillier.
I come from Nicolas Courtier/Coutillier found under both spellings with the same wife Jenne Pegot they came from France to Canada in 1578. Later some family members used Cotenau seems to have been a mix up in Kent co. ontario......
