I have Gilles Couturier dit Labonte born 1/1640 (baptism 1/7/1640) in Toussaint, diocese of Rennes, Bretagne, (Ille et Vilaine), France -- death and burial at 86 yrs. of age 3/23/1726 at St. Francois du Lac, Yamaska, Quebec, Canada. He married Anne Elizabeth De Tarragon on 3/19/1675 at Sorel, Monteregie, Quebec, Canada. I have only found three of their children: (1) Pierre Couturier dit Labonte (born 10/23/1677) in Sorel, Richelieu, Monteregie, Quebec, Canada); (2) Jean Baptiste Couturier dit Labonte (born 8/28/1679 in Sorel, Richelieu, Monteregie, Quebec, Canada; (3) Gilles Couturier (born 7/17/1681 in Sorel....Canada. You can log onto http://www.ancestry.com and do a search for Gilles Couturier. You'll come up with over 40 family trees for him.

By the way, my more immediate ancestor is Dominique Couturier and Genevieve Ritchotte, my great-grandparents. Where do you fit in?
