Hi Nancy,
I just saw your message and am interested in the Couturiers also. You mentioned that most of the Couturiers are descended from a Gilles dit Labonte Couturier b. 1642 in France. My great-grandfather, Dominic Couturier, was born in Canada in 1803 and died in Lake Leelanau, Michigan in 1857. He had married a Genevieve Richotte, born 1812 in France and died 1857 in Lake Leelanau, Michigan. Does this sound like anybody that might be in your family tree? We haven't been able to go back any further than the Dominic Couturier born in Canada in 1803, and we don't have any information on him in Canada. Edith
