Thanks, Joanie, the information on that website is very interesting. The description of the depredations by the Iroquois against the Huron reminded me of a novel by Brian Moore I read some years ago, called Black Robe. It is about the French missionaries in early Canada and if memory serves involved either the Iroquois or Huron or both. There was a film made of the book which was quite interesting also as I believe Native actors portrayed the Indian roles. Anyone else seen it recently?
