One thing I should have added: Sieur Pierre Couturier was the Surgeon Major [chirugien] of the Fourth Company of the Swiss Regiment of Karrer, the only permanent military company stationed in New Orleans during the French regime.

referred Church the remains of DON PEDRO COUTURIERE
of the age of seventy-nine years, a native of Toison in Poitu in the Kingdom of France,
a Surgeon by profession, married in a second Nuptial with DONA
JULIA DOURIEAUX; he received the Holy Sacraments,
and in faith I have signed
