I am trying to locate information on Christian Couts of Huntingdon PA. He is listed as a hotel keeper in Huntingdon in the 1850, and 1860 U.S. census. He was married to Margaret and they had the following children, Christian, Henry, George, Francis, James E, Mary, Samuel,and Benjamin. I am looking for confirmation that his son James E (probably Ellis) is in fact the James Ellis listed on my grandfathers death certificate as his father. James E. would have been born around 1848. Also any information on Christian and his wife Margaret would be appreciated.
