Hi Donna Sorry about the delay, we have been overseas on a holiday and didn't get back till Sunday. can you tell me where you fit into this part of the family tree- 1 Robert Cousins b: Abt 1770-1780 + Agnes Graham b: Abt 1775-1780 2 Joseph Cousins b: c1804 2 James Cousins b: c1812 d: 22nd Aug 1872 age 59 + Catherine Cowan b: c1813 d: 2nd July 1855 age 42 3 Robert Cousins b: 1838 3 William Cousins b: c1841 d: 11th Feb 1841 3 Jane Cousins b: 1841 d: young? 3 William Cousins b: c1845 3 Joseph Graham Cousins b: 14th April 1848 d: 16th May 1929 age 81 + Ann Reed Francis b: 11th Oct 1854 d: 2nd Aug 1942 age 87 3 Margaret Cousins b: 1852 d: 1885 + Charles Augustus Cockerell b: 15th Feb 1850 d: 1908 age 58 3 Jane Cousins b: 30th June 1855 d: 2nd July 1855 age 2 days 2 Margaret Milligan Cousins b: c1816 2 Mary Cousins b: c1820 I am a great great granddaughter of Joseph (born 1804). Joseph had 2 sons *Robert (born in Edinburgh 12/2/1852 died Australia 7/5/1912) * Joseph (born in Edinburgh 1855 died there in 1876) * I suspect they also had a sister who ended up dying in Boston USA because he (Robert) visited relatives there in 1903 but I cann't find any birth information. Are you aware of any? I know James's family came to Australia in the mid 1800. I would like to know where he is buried, if possible. I cann't find it anywhere in the Vic records. I have been to Omeo and visited the son's grave. In 2006 I visited the Dumfries library and looked up old records. I suspect that Robert (b 177-1780) had a brother William. There is an entry for a marrriage of William Cusin around the time of Robert's marriage to Agnes Graham. Do you have any specific infor about either Robert or Agnes or their parents and families? I live in Victoria and would like to speak direct with you if possible. My home phone No. is (03) 58231298. Notify Administrator about this message?
