I received the following email today from Louise Pettus - thank you Louise!
Lancaster's first newspaper was the Lancaster Ledger, 1852. I think it was replaced by the Lancaster News in 1875 or thereabouts.
I looked into various church histories and books with lists gleaned from marriage and death notices and found no
other mention of Susannah but did pick up Richard Cousart and some others. Here's what I have found in
"Inscriptions from Old Cemeteries- Lancaster County South Carolina," published by the Lancaster County Historical Commission in 1974:

WRENN - COUSAR
The Wrenn-Cousar graves are located about 15 miles north of Lancaster between U. S. Highway # 521 and South Carolina Highway # 35 on land that was originally granted to Joseph Crawford.Sold by Thomas Crawford to William Wrenn, the land passed through Wrenn, Cureton, Hasseltine, and Chafee hands before being sold to Wiesenfeld and Company of Baltimore, Maryland, before the turn of the century.
On a secluded wooded hilltop there are evidently two or three rows of graves but only two headstones. The inscriptions were copied from the two stones by Mrs. J. S. Starr, Sr., Mrs. R. C. Crockett, and Miss Nancy Crockett on October 19, 1949.
One, an obelisk about 9 feet tall, has inscriptions on all four sides.

Were Richard and Mary Richard H. Cousar's parents?
