i am trying to find info on a abraham courtwright who had a son that served in the civil war.....his name was richard courtwright but was changed to i believe edward carlton sometime during or after the civil war i think due to some law problems......richard was born in nyc i think...after the war he located to st louis and started a new identity........sure would appreciate any help...thanks.... fran
